Welcome to State Street tap! My name is Claine Clements

Owning a restaurant where I could plan and prepare delicious, local

Wisconsin food for people has been a dream of mine since I was young.

I've always loved cooking and making fun dishes and have been

involved in the restaurant and food industry my entire working career.

From line cook, to sous chef and assistant manager I have seen many

sides of the business but my favorite part is serving amazing food!

My vision for State Street tap when I opened the doors in 2018 was to

keep the classic Wisconsin style alive by sourcing fresh food locally and

keeping it affordable. This community is very important to me and that

is why I want to continue to push the keep-it-local movement going by

supporting our local farmers and small businesses. I spent my

childhood years involved in 4-H and FFA with numerous livestock

projects and a lot of those local businesses were the ones that supported

me when I was younger. I feel honored to be able to give back to them as

an adult with my own local business.

I love keeping things exciting and new for my customers by

experimenting with organic ingredients, which allows me to enjoy the

outdoors while foraging for wild ramps, morels and other plants so that

I can bring something different to the table. I grow my own shiitakes as

well, so the business has really grown into a full circle hobby for me.

Come in, sit back and enjoy a good old-fashioned Wisconsin fish fry

with a good old-fashioned or a local craft brew and then come back and

visit us again so one of our seasonal or regular menu items.
